Awards Nominations and Pitching!

AccelerateHER Pitching Showcase Event

Well it’s been a very busy first quarter of the year for me as I was selected to be one of 14 trailblazing female founders to pitch their business proposition to an invited audience of founders, investors and supporters at the amazing V&A Dundee last week as part of the AccelerateHER 2024 Showcase event. I attended the training session over at the Barclays Eagle labs in Glasgow in February before hitting the ground running in Dundee (and very nearly landing on my bum from all the wet & slippy surfaces). It was a fantastic day in an amazingly supportive environment, of course seamlessly organised by Elizabeth Pirrie, CEO and her team! - Thank you to AccelerateHER for the opportunity!

Fife Chamber of Commerce, Fife Business Awards

Next up, I got a notification that I’ve been selected as a finalist in the ‘Small Business Award’ category of the Fife Business Awards which is fantastic news! It’s a great endorsement of all the hard work done to date and everything that we’re trying to achieve - good luck to all the other finalists - we won’t find out who’s won until the awards ceremony, held at the fabulous Old Course Hotel, St Andrews, in June!

Scottish Edge - Scotland’s biggest business funding competition

And finally, hot of the press, I got an email today confirming that I’ve progressed through to the semi-finals of the Scottish Edge competition which is absolutely brilliant news! Lots more hard work to do but after reaching the semi-finals last year I’m determined to get to, and be a winner of!, this round’s finals! Stay tuned and cross your fingers and toes for me but again, most importantly, good luck to all the other finalists!!
